Developers are bringing new construction and remodeled affordable housing, old motels are getting new life thanks to established hospitality groups, the neighborhood has a place to gather and drink coffee at Retrograde, and hundreds of residential units are under construction (such as Bristol Developments 205-unit apartment complex).
1301 Dickerson Pike sits on the corner of Douglas and Dickerson and its renovation has helped spark a new nerve center on the corridor. Originally constructed in 1975, the current owner renovated the building in 2015, adding an exterior mural and a modern industrial interior. Situated next door to an East Nashville favorite, Retrograde Coffee.
